The Fruit of Death: Part 2
Read Romans 7:1-6
The resurrection represents so much more than salvation. Because we share in the resurrection of Christ, we are not just saved people, but new people. A new people unified with Christ and therefore untied with God…forever. Since we are now in Christ our lives should and will bear the result of Christ’s righteousness in us – the fruit of the Spirit.

- What do you think he means when Paul explains we are no longer married to the law, but through death we belong to another?
- Verse 5 says that the law, or the rules, stir us to sin. The law is a good and holy thing, rules can be a good thing, so how can it arouse in us a need to sin? Has that every played out in your life?
- By sharing in the resurrection of Christ we have been set free from the law into something new. What does that mean and how does it play out in our lives?
- If we are truly new in Christ, the bible says we are now empowered to bear fruit for God. What does that mean (reference Galatians 5:22-23 for help)?
- How is God bearing fruit through your life and how would you like to bear more fruit from God?
