Read Philippians 1:1b

1. Read aloud the list of truths regarding who Christ is according to scripture (words in bold). Which of these statements stick out to you? Why is it important to first understand who Christ is?

2. Read aloud the list of truths regarding who we are in Christ according to scripture (words in bold). Which of these stick out to you? Which ones are easy for you to believe? Which ones are harder to believe?

3. Paul calls the believers in Philippians “saints in Christ.” The Greek word used here for saint is “haggios”. What does haggios mean? Why is that important in the context of the New Testament narrative?

4. Do you consider yourself a saint? Which areas of your life reflect being a saint in Christ? Which areas do not?

5. How could you rest more fully in your sainthood in each area of your life?
