A Church Producing Jealousy

Read Romans 11:11-16
How can jealousy be a good thing? The vast majority of the time it is not, but sometimes God does the unexpected. God sometimes uses the most unlikely people, and even the most unlikely emotions, to do his incredible work of salvation.
1. What was God’s purpose in hardening the hearts of the unbelieving Jewish people? How could that possibly work out for good?
2. Why did God want to make the Jews jealous? What was he accomplishing through that?
3. What do you think it would look like for our church to be a church that made other people jealous? What would bad jealousy look like?  What would good jealousy (zeal) look like?
4. How do you think you can get to the point where you have a faith that makes other people jealous of what you have in Christ?
5. Take specific time to pray that God would help you and our church be the kind of place that make people jealous for our relationship with God.
