Families we want to give you every opportunity to disciple your children and empower you to feel comfortable and confident in doing so. This is why we will have Family Discipleship questions every week throughout our Romans series. The questions will follow what you are already learning on Sunday mornings, through personal discipleship, and in LG. This will just be a chance for the whole family to learn and grow together.
Here’s is what we are asking. At least 1-2 times a week around the dinner table discuss these questions with your children. Include them in what you are learning and let them see you guiding them to Jesus. We are behind you, if you need any help or have any questions feel free to reach out to your Pastors and leaders!
Read Romans 3:1-8
The bible is trying to make something clear to us. We aren’t saved by good behavior, but if we aren’t taking God’s commands seriously we may not understand sin or God’s grace for us. The forgiveness of sin cost a tremendous amount. If we truly understand that cost, and accept God’s grace for us in Christ, it should lead us to want to follow a God that loves us that much.
- We said sin cost a tremendous amount. What do you think that means?
- If Jesus died for us to be forgiven, then why does it matter if we sin or not?
- How do you think knowing Jesus died for your sin can help you better follow God’s commands?
